MAC Cool Heat: Photo Swatches, Review

MAC Cosmetics Cool Heat Collection

Overall, the cool heat collection is exhilarating - with a refreshing burst of color.  Warming Trend  - a taupe frosty color and Solar White - white frost are great colors for you neutral loving gals out there.   Gulf Stream, Cool Heat, Blue Flame and Climate Blue were some of my favorite colors out of the collection.  Cool Heat is a cross between steamy and parrot.  Although, cool heat is an gorgeous color, it may not be nessecary if you own many teal colors.  MAC has a wide variety of teal shades.  I saw a little bit of Big T (from the c-shock) in this collection also.

I also picked up a couple of my favorite green shades: swimming and humid.  If you've been to the MAC store you'll notice "green shades" are extremely limited.  I can only think of three stock colors off the top: juxt, humid, and swimming.  Which, are all gorgeous shades of green.  So, needless to say I was pretty excited to see green in the cool heat collections. Check out all the photo swatches below.

Love love love your blog Steph! I just recently stumbled upon it when I googled Sally's new polish line. So far since purchasing my first bottle (comander in chic) I have returned to buy 5 more bottles... Seriously has to be the best new nail polish line out there. Top colors for me are Commander in Chic, Grey by Grey, Plum Luck, Lavender Cloud and Pat on The Black. At this speed I think Ill own them all by the end of the month! :)

I tried the "Thinking of Blue" color last night and was very impressed with the wide applicator brush. I actually like it better becuase it provides full coverage. The color is vibrant and funky. I absolutely love the shades. I think that this new line will give Opi a run for its money and I'm an avid Opi girl. However, change can be good. : )

I used to be a strictly OPI girl but when I went shopping for a new spring shade and the selection where I went was picked over I took a chance and tried this in Shell We Dance. The application was easy with the brush reminding me of the Pro Wide style OPI uses. Also the wear is very long lasting and keeps my super thin and brittle nails from breaking and peeling. At a few dollars more than OPI per bottle...I\'m sold!

I'm not gonna lie, right now i have over 15 different purples in my collection... i have a problem. This kind of reminds me of the Hot Topic purple! (which is in my top 3 favorite purples)
