MAC Future Earth: Volcanic Ash and Lip Review
Usually, I don't get into different skincare products mainly due to the upkeep and not knowing how my sensitive skin is going to react. MAC introduced a Volcanic Ash Exfoliator in the recent Future Earth collection launch - A highly effective, dual-purpose, foaming and exfoliating scrub blending natural Volcanic Ash with fine sugar crystals from the islands of Vanuatu. Originally, my store didn't have this stocked nor did the shipment.
After hearing the all the rave reviews from fellow beauty bloggers, my interest was intrigued. Luckily, some were available online at Macy's before they completely sold out. After placing my order, I debated about purchasing a backup and totally regret it now! I had a big smile was on my face when I first opened this jet black, oohy-gooey stuff. How cool is that, a black granulated sugar from vanutu volcano right on your body! I'll admit I just googled Vanutu, had no clue where the hell it was - it's an active volcano east of northeast austrailia if you guys are wondering. It's not as thick as St. Ives scrub which is nice. I really liked the feel of the sugar crystals and how easily the water washed it off. My skin felt refreshed and extremely smooth after using this product and gladly didn't have any skin reactions (yippie). Check out some pictures below.

The volcanic ash exfoliator retails for $19.00 for 4.5 oz. Unfortantely, this is sold out everywhere. But, you may be able to check your MAC store or ebay for last resort.
Being my first lip exfoliator, I didn't know what to expect from MAC's Prep and Prime lip refinisher - a two-in-one lip-conditioning and exfoliating stick. On one side, a botanically-derived natural exfoliator, on the other a lip conditioner that moisturizes, nourishes, and soothes lips. After using this product, my lips felt very smooth, moisturized and I didn't even feel the grains after application.
Overall, I was impressed with the Future Earth collection. The ash exfoliator is the head-turner out of two and would definitely recommend it. The prep and prime was nice but, being my first one it's hard to compare to other brands. One thing I did love is my lips stayed nice and smooth for hours!

Hi Lina,
I also have super sensitive skin and was scared at first but, MAC really came through for me! In fact, this was my first skin care product from MAC and I'm pretty happy with the outcome.
