Sunday, July 27th 2008Pedi of the Day: Chanel LA Sunrise
Today's pedi of the day is LA Sunrise - a soft yellow color with subtle silver shimmer. The pale lemon shade is absolutely gorgeous and unlike any yellow in my collection. However, the application was extremely streaky and difficult to accomplish a polished manicured look. You may need some crazy pills dealing with yellow polishes because they share one thing in common - the formula is a nightmare! But, don't fret there's hope - call your manicurist!
Rescue Beauty Lounge and China Glaze are two brands of yellow that applies perfectly for me. Check out some yellow comparisons below.
LA Sunrise is more toned down compared to my other yellow polishes which, makes her unique. Essie's shorty pants and Zoya's Creamy are much brighter than Chanel's but, can pass as dupes within themselves. Shorty Pants applies thicker than Creamy but, the finished results are pretty much the same.

Something you can do to help with your application is not apply so much pressure when you polish. flatten the brush when you wipe off one side before you begin application. you have to let the polish just flow off the brush, also try doing 3 thin coats, I find that with most chanel colors they look better with 3 thin coats than 2 thick coats. its more even and lasts longer, in this manicurist's opinion.
Thanks so much for this tip christy - I'll def have to try this. :) I do find using thin coats are so much easier with chanel's polish.
