Nail Polish of the Day: Sally Hansen Lightening

Sally Hansen Lightening Nail Polish

Happy Thursday everyone!  Today, I wanted to start off with a bright electrifiying color such as Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri nail polish in Lightening.

Described as yellow creme that's just a tad lighter than Rescue Beauty's Yellow fever minus the sublte shimmer of RBL's.

A month ago, when I reviewed the Insta-Dri polishes, I was uncertain how the wide tapered brush was going to pan out.  But, after testing these babies out, I ended up really liking them.

The brush fit perfectly in my nail area and allowed me to achieve the two and three coat swipe that the Insta-Dri's are intended for.

Check out one more swatch below.

The Insta-Dri polishes are now available at stores and retails for $4.99/ea.  Hope your having a fabulous day!

I like this yellow very much. I just bought OPI the "IT Color", which I dont like very much because my daughter said it reminded her of Nacho Cheese. Yikes! I think I will be heading over to Walgreens for this one, they have a sale this week, buy one get one free, cant beat that!

I would totally wear this on my toes, but not my fingers. I just can't get used to yellow on my finger nails for some reason :)

I agree! Yellow is a super hot color pedicure color. Heck, I'll wear any color though. I love yellow for summer espically :)

Hi Gayle, I love the "it" color - it's so unique. And, I'm sure it looks fab on you too! Those BOGO sales are awesome and most always take advantage of them. Let us know what you get! PS: I can NEVER EVER leave a store without grabbin a bottle of polish...yes I'm doomed :)

I have a yellow nail polish by NYC, and it's so light you have to put 5 coats on to make it noticeable! So I'm definitely gonna go out and find this one. Thanks Steph <3

Hi Jenn, You'll love this one SO much better than NYC's taxi yellow! It's much darker and only takes two coats :) xoxo

Thanks for a great review.

I just recently purchased the RCM system, and was a little too worried about putting on the color so I only did the clear manicure. Thanks for the tips, because I look forward to trying the color this next time!

Has anyone ever heard of the brand of crackle called KR but the K is backwards? It is great but I've never heard of it before. The way it crackles it looks like dried up clay. Plus it was only $1.50 a bottle and the bottle was 18ml (USA).

Thanks, Steph! I took advantage of a sale this week and bought it. Hopefully I'll have time to start practicing with a nail or two this weekend. Maybe it will help me get that free edge eventually ;)
