A Great Alternative to No More War

Hot Topic Comrad Green Nail Polish

Do you guys remember when I said Hot Topic colors rocked?  Well, this is a prime example of how unique their colors just are!

Introducing Comrad Green.  Described as an olive green creme comparable to Rescue Beauty Lounge's popular fall shade, No More War.  Quite possibly one of the closest dupes out there to No More War.

Check out some swatches below.

Hot Topic Comrad Green Nail Polish

Olive Green Nail Polish Comparisons

On both comparisons above, three coats were used to show you guys the true differences.  However, you'll only need two to achieve bottle color.  When two coats were used, you couldn't hardly tell the difference between them.

No More War is a deeper olive green compared to Comrad Green which leans more towards the army green range.  But still, both are very much alike.

Bottle Comparisons

I scored big time with this one.  I found it at my Hot Topic store in the clearance bin for only $.99!  So, make sure you hop on over to Hot Topic and check it out.

Ok wow I (of course) am loving this! My only concern is that it will chip within like .003 seconds since it's a "cheap" polish. How's the wear?

Steph said, on Jan 11th, 2009 11:07 am Reply
Hi Kelly, The wear is actually pretty good. I usually put a topcoat on every two or three days and never really had any problems. I have more problems with the wierd sized brush than anything :)

Love love love your blog Steph! I just recently stumbled upon it when I googled Sally's new polish line. So far since purchasing my first bottle (comander in chic) I have returned to buy 5 more bottles... Seriously has to be the best new nail polish line out there. Top colors for me are Commander in Chic, Grey by Grey, Plum Luck, Lavender Cloud and Pat on The Black. At this speed I think Ill own them all by the end of the month! :)

I tried the "Thinking of Blue" color last night and was very impressed with the wide applicator brush. I actually like it better becuase it provides full coverage. The color is vibrant and funky. I absolutely love the shades. I think that this new line will give Opi a run for its money and I'm an avid Opi girl. However, change can be good. : )

I used to be a strictly OPI girl but when I went shopping for a new spring shade and the selection where I went was picked over I took a chance and tried this in Shell We Dance. The application was easy with the brush reminding me of the Pro Wide style OPI uses. Also the wear is very long lasting and keeps my super thin and brittle nails from breaking and peeling. At a few dollars more than OPI per bottle...I\'m sold!

I'm not gonna lie, right now i have over 15 different purples in my collection... i have a problem. This kind of reminds me of the Hot Topic purple! (which is in my top 3 favorite purples)
