MAC Hello Kitty: Review, Photo Swatches

MAC Hello Kitty Makeup Launch

Last Thursday, Hello Kitty made a crash landing at most MAC, Macy's and Nordstrom stores.  Since my store just received their stock late that day, it was pure craziness when I arrived.  And, with that being said, I was in complete disarray and totally unorganized when it came to swatching.

Overall, HK offers a great selection of memorabilia for die hard fans and for others (that's me) that just can't pass up the insanely cute girly packaging.

MAC introduces two displays for the spring edition.  The wild side, a mix of bright pinks & greens for that daring kitty in you and golds & oranges in the mild kitty for that day to day look.

It was easy to love the Lucky Tom palette along with the mild side of hello kitty because the colors meshed well with my NC-30 skintone.   But, I don't like to play it safe.  I'm all about the wild side baby and that's the route I took with this collection.

Some of my must have's from this line: Popster lip conditioner, Strayin' and Fashion Mews lipstick, Beauty powder blushes, Sweet Strawberry lipglass, Her Glitz glitter liner (for fun), On the Prowl nail polish.

Click here to check out the nail lacquers from the Hello Kitty line.

I loveee this line! I want it soo bad but it's so expensive. I hope it's still around by Christmas, because this is the only time I'll be getting it. If not that's lame. :/

Love love love your blog Steph! I just recently stumbled upon it when I googled Sally's new polish line. So far since purchasing my first bottle (comander in chic) I have returned to buy 5 more bottles... Seriously has to be the best new nail polish line out there. Top colors for me are Commander in Chic, Grey by Grey, Plum Luck, Lavender Cloud and Pat on The Black. At this speed I think Ill own them all by the end of the month! :)

I tried the "Thinking of Blue" color last night and was very impressed with the wide applicator brush. I actually like it better becuase it provides full coverage. The color is vibrant and funky. I absolutely love the shades. I think that this new line will give Opi a run for its money and I'm an avid Opi girl. However, change can be good. : )

I used to be a strictly OPI girl but when I went shopping for a new spring shade and the selection where I went was picked over I took a chance and tried this in Shell We Dance. The application was easy with the brush reminding me of the Pro Wide style OPI uses. Also the wear is very long lasting and keeps my super thin and brittle nails from breaking and peeling. At a few dollars more than OPI per bottle...I\'m sold!

I'm not gonna lie, right now i have over 15 different purples in my collection... i have a problem. This kind of reminds me of the Hot Topic purple! (which is in my top 3 favorite purples)
