BB Couture for Nails: Review and Swatches

BB Couture for Nails nail polish

Today I'm bringing you a truly fabulous nail polish brand called BB Couture for Nails. If you've been reading the nail blogs, then your somewhat familiar with this one-of-a kind polish that's just phenomenal. The color selection is beyond amazing and my swatches don't do any justice...really!

Each formula contains no hazardous chemicals and is Big 3 free. And the best news yet, you get everything in this little package. Base, Top coat, Nail Color, and Strengther - all in one. What a brilliant idea? Just brilliant. Why didn't anyone think of this sooner?!

The Wear. Since you get everything in this little bottle, you really don't need a base or top coat. But, I have a feeling most of my readers will have trouble skipping this step, which is OK! I still love ya! Plus, you can never be too safe. My average wear was three days with no chipping, which is pretty remarkable with no base or top.

I know, enough of the review, let's get down to the nitty gritty.

BB Couture Opposties Attract nail polish

Gray nail polish with glitter

Opposites Attract, a medium gray with silver glitter and some black. The black was very subtle, but you can look at the bottle pic and see the darker black glitter.

BB Couture for nails blind love nail polish

Pewter Silver foil nail polish

Blind Love gives Chanel's Kaleidoscope a run for it's money. Described as a pewter silver foiltastic color that's pretty much an exact dupe to Chanel's.

bb couture for nails balboa beach bunny nail polish

Purple jelly with mult colored glitter nail polish

Balboa Beach Bunny, a deep purple with multi colored glitter. All the jellies are amazing! I'm totally crushing on them.

bb couture for nails sea of cortez nail polish

light blue jelly with glitter nail polish

Sea of Cortez, fabulous light blue jelly with glitter.

bb couture for nails moon over manhattan nail polish

Medium blue nail polish with glitter

Moon over Manhattan is one of the best blues I've ever laid eyes on. Described as a mid tone blue with teal undertones and fine glitter.

BB couture for nails blue nail polish comparisons

Here's a comparison swatch of Moon over Manhattan and Sea of Cortez.

BB couture for nails frosty meadow nail polish

Green jelly with glitter nail polish

Frosty Meadow, gorgeous light green jelly with glitter.

BB Couture for Nails Zuma Wave Rider nail polish

Zuma Wave Rider didn't quite capture as well as I'd liked. It's a mix between a lavender purple and baby blue pastel. The pastels applied a little streaky, but nothing three coats can't fix.

BB Couture for Nails Laguna Lagoon nail polish

Laguna Lagoon, a pastel mint green creme.

Mint Green nail polish comparisons

Laguna Lagoon is similar to OPI's Hey get in Lime, but just a tad more lighter and pastel.

BB Couture for Nails Poison Ivy green nail polish

Poison Ivy, a medium green creme. One of the best greens on the market.

BB Couture for Nails Iced Olive nail polish

Olive green nail polish with gold shimmer

Iced Olive is insanely gorgeous! Described as a olive green with gold shimmer.

Where do I buy BB Couture? You can purchase BB Couture directly through BB's site or Overall Beauty. I highly recommend Kim at Overall Beauty. Her customer service exceeds excellence and she ships internationally at a pretty reasonable rate. The retail price is around $8.00 - $9.95/ea.

Have a wonderful Wednesday! Enjoy peeps!

Hi Steph! I've been talking my head off about these today. Poison Ivy is one of my top 3 favorite polishes. They are all amazing colors. They also make the best glitters! I heard a rumor that Overallbeauty will soon be getting the new collection from BB Couture. One of the new shades is named Throb. I can't wait to see what that will look like!

Thanks Steph! Your words are just too kind, I think I'm blushing! I love the swatches you did.. wow I see I'm not the only one who digs Sea of Cortez.. My question to you is.. What do you think about creme yellow? One of the newest colors I been hearing about coming out is Torch.. And rumor has its part of two new collections.. And yes I am just a big BB junkie as ever these days..lol

Love love love your blog Steph! I just recently stumbled upon it when I googled Sally's new polish line. So far since purchasing my first bottle (comander in chic) I have returned to buy 5 more bottles... Seriously has to be the best new nail polish line out there. Top colors for me are Commander in Chic, Grey by Grey, Plum Luck, Lavender Cloud and Pat on The Black. At this speed I think Ill own them all by the end of the month! :)

I tried the "Thinking of Blue" color last night and was very impressed with the wide applicator brush. I actually like it better becuase it provides full coverage. The color is vibrant and funky. I absolutely love the shades. I think that this new line will give Opi a run for its money and I'm an avid Opi girl. However, change can be good. : )

I used to be a strictly OPI girl but when I went shopping for a new spring shade and the selection where I went was picked over I took a chance and tried this in Shell We Dance. The application was easy with the brush reminding me of the Pro Wide style OPI uses. Also the wear is very long lasting and keeps my super thin and brittle nails from breaking and peeling. At a few dollars more than OPI per bottle...I\'m sold!

I'm not gonna lie, right now i have over 15 different purples in my collection... i have a problem. This kind of reminds me of the Hot Topic purple! (which is in my top 3 favorite purples)
