NOTD: Sally Hansen HD Opulent Cloud

Sally Hansen Opulent Cloud

Sally Hansen HD Opulent Cloud

Happy Friday! Hope you've had an excellent day so far! Today I have a goodie to show you, and if your following me on Twitter you've already seen a sneak peek of this one-of-a-kind shade created by fashion designer, Tracy Reese.

Without further ado, introducing Opulent Cloud. I thought the time would never come. You first made an appearance back in Feb 09' at New York Fashion Week and I've been thinking about you ever since. You are amazing!

Amazing is an understatement. Opulent Cloud is a shade you'll have to see in person to appreciate. A somewhat duochrome-y charcoal that flashes distinctly purple and steel with an overlay of gold shimmer that's so pretty! I don't have another like her!

Check out a comparison below.

Charcoal Gray Nail Polish Comparisons

What's so unique about Opulent Cloud, it's more purple toned compared to other charcoal grays out there. And Barielle's Out-Grey-Geous is a bit more blue than OPI's Brand New Skates.

Opulent Cloud is a limited editon color and will available at Meijer and other stores that carry Tracy Reese displays. The retail cost is $5.99/ea.

I'm crossing my fingers you guys can find this! Have a wonderful weekend!

That's a pretty one! I have the other collection but not this. I'll have to look for these. Do you have all the names of the collection?

I have been looking everywhere for these and having no luck! I finally called Sally Hansen, and after waiting on hold for about 10 minutes talked to someone who had obviously never heard of these polishes. I mentioned Opulent Cloud, and she said it was out a long time ago and was a promotional item. Then she said the HD collection was already out and listed off the Spring HD collection shades. Then she talked to a "product specialist" who said they should be out now. Hmmm... Anyone have better luck than I did finding these?

I just found this polish this week, got the last one in the case-out of two. There were 4 other colors, none looked as cool as the Opulant Cloud and last springs. Can't wait to wear it, hope y'all have luck finding them!

i snatched up all the bottles i could find of fantasy makers (wet n wild) cofetit glitter in myth(silver) and imagination(pink) over this halloween and i added a little imagination to my bottle of opulent cloud. it turned out to be a lighter type of hard cany's mr. wrong. to which i also addes a tiny bit of glitter. it looks great. and when i picked up sinful colors nail junkie and added a little sally hansen spark / glitter to it , almost looks like china glazes' atlantis- which i have a serious lemming for:)

Hi Steph,
Love your blog. You wrote: Always wrap the free edge or tip throughout each step. I didn't see this step in the video. Could you please explain how to do the wrap process and with what material. Thank you.

I am wondering if these gel polishes can be used with other gels. I have a different system with a different brand of base coat and top coat, can the different brands of gel mix?

I've had my kit for a couple of months now and love the way it lasts; but the Structure and Brilliance brushes are starting to stiffen and so is the gel in the bottles. Anyone else having that issue? Is there a way to thin them out?

Hi, does anyone know if I can thin out the red carpet base coat so that it is easier to apply?

Hi Prinzy,
It was a gorgeous color! I remember picking up a few bottles because I loved the color so much! lol! Actually, yes, I'm launching a store in the next couple of weeks. I have everything built, I'm just working on the Terms and Conditions right now, so it should be very, very soon.

I only have about 10 Studio M colors in the store currently, but I will be taking special pre-orders once it opens.

Hi Sarah,
I'm not sure about retail stores, but you can still find them on amazon.com.

Can I still buy them in the stores now?

I've been playing with this system for about a month now. I love it! When I first started I used the clear just so I could get a feel for it. Then I got adventurous and tried a "sandwich" with a China Glaze color. It probably would have stayed on longer if I had been able to seal off the edges, but my nails were so short it was a bit difficult. The next time I used RCM gel polish in Simply Stunning (a pale slightly shimmery nude color). This time I had gotten enough practice to really make my coats thin and it worked out fabulous. I'm trying to send all my friends the Ulta 20% coupon (5/26 is the last day) so they can get a kit for about $64. :) Now I hope to get a little creative with color combos and nail design. Thanks for the review.
