Sally Hansen Complete Salon: Lavender Cloud
Last week I talked about the new and improved Sally Hansen Salon in Commander in Chic and today I'm bringing you another core line shade called, Lavender Cloud. This one is interesting, very interesting - especially if you love whites.
Lavender Cloud is described as an opaque, white creme dashed with pale lavender-pink undertones. The application and formula caught me off guard. I didn't expect perfection, no streaking in two coats! Loves it!
Check out a comparison swatch below.
As you can see in the swatch above, Lavender Cloud is much whiter compared to Light Affair, which is more of a nude with a touch of lavender.
If you love the new Sally Hansen Salon, it's a great time to stock up. Walgreens is having a Buy one, Get one free sale this week on Salon and Inta-Dri's. That's two for $7.95 - great deal!
What do you think of Lavender Cloud? What are some of your favorite colors form the Complete Salon Manicure line? Have a happy and safe New Year!

I like this better than Light Affair. Saw it today at my Walgreens, maybe next time I'll pick it up!

I love it! But I'm bummed because I can't find this collection anywhere :( I've tried Walmart and Walgreens. Is it not mass-market released until next year, maybe?

Been a while since I commented here. I'm loving this new line. I love the Lavender Cloud on you, and have been thinking about getting one for myself since I've been searching for a white that is neither sheer nor streaky and draggy. My faves so far are Midnight in NY, Calypso Blue, and Naked Ambition as well as Commander in Chic. I'm planning on getting more of them soon.

I love the 3 you've swatched from SH Complete Salon. My faves so far are Grey by Grey (a really interesting color, in that it is more of a muted teal than grey, but really pretty), and Midnight in NY - black with subtle glitter.
Can't wait to see more of your swatches!

Generally, I'm not a believer in all-in-one product claims. Much like the old Pert Plus, which claimed to be a shampoo and conditioner in one, I don't believe that a pigmented polish can substitute for a base coat, color and topcoat. They all serve different purposes and thus are each formulated differently. If nothing else, this product won't protect nails from staining, since the pigment goes right on your nails if you use it as intended. I thought the application was too thick, too messy, and the result not to my liking.
I got Navy Baby and Grass Slipper a couple of months ago, tried them, and back they went. I found both bottles to be strangely overfilled with product, where I had to keep wiping the brushes off, and both brushes seemed like they were lopped off in an uneven way that made application very difficult. I might have thought these were defects, but since 2 different colors had the same issues, I can only assume the overfilling and brush shapes are intentional. While SH has had some fantastic products over the years, this one was a miss for me.
