Avon Electric Green for Spring 2011

Avon Electric Green Nail Polish

Avon Spring 2011 Electric Green

Can you guys believe it's already March? I'm certainly not complaining - I've been looking forward to spring ever since winter hit! So let's kick off this green month with a brand new color from Avon's 2011 Spring Collection called, Electric Green ($5.00).

Electric Green is a funky, mid toned green with slight yellow undertones. You'll need three thin coats for full coverage since it's thinner than the Avon norm. Besides that, no problems whatsoever with the application.

Check out a comparison below.

As soon as I saw it, I knew it had to be close to OPI Green-wich or Carolyn Greenwich Ave. Not being an exact dupe, it falls closer to Carolyn's Greenwich Ave except it's lighter and more yellow toned.

Avon Electric Green Nail Polish is now available online at The retail cost is $5.00, but it's currently on sale for $2.99/ea.

What do you think of this daring green from Avon? Have a wonderful Thursday!

Love this color! I'm soooo ready for Winter to be a memory and this feels totally Spring to me. I haven't worn Avon polish in forever. How do you find they wear?

I like it. Fun and springish :)

I want to ask how do you paint your nails so evenly at the cuticles? I always make a huge mess! LOL

Thanks so much for this! I was wondering if I needed the Avon since I already have CNY - but I love my discontinued CNY so I might spring for the Avon as a backup!

What do you think about the powerful pink color?

Hi Mybulldogs07,
It's a pretty coral for spring, but not as unique as Electric Green

Hi Steph,
Love your blog. You wrote: Always wrap the free edge or tip throughout each step. I didn't see this step in the video. Could you please explain how to do the wrap process and with what material. Thank you.

I am wondering if these gel polishes can be used with other gels. I have a different system with a different brand of base coat and top coat, can the different brands of gel mix?

I've had my kit for a couple of months now and love the way it lasts; but the Structure and Brilliance brushes are starting to stiffen and so is the gel in the bottles. Anyone else having that issue? Is there a way to thin them out?

Hi, does anyone know if I can thin out the red carpet base coat so that it is easier to apply?

Hi Prinzy,
It was a gorgeous color! I remember picking up a few bottles because I loved the color so much! lol! Actually, yes, I'm launching a store in the next couple of weeks. I have everything built, I'm just working on the Terms and Conditions right now, so it should be very, very soon.

I only have about 10 Studio M colors in the store currently, but I will be taking special pre-orders once it opens.

Hi Sarah,
I'm not sure about retail stores, but you can still find them on

Can I still buy them in the stores now?

I've been playing with this system for about a month now. I love it! When I first started I used the clear just so I could get a feel for it. Then I got adventurous and tried a "sandwich" with a China Glaze color. It probably would have stayed on longer if I had been able to seal off the edges, but my nails were so short it was a bit difficult. The next time I used RCM gel polish in Simply Stunning (a pale slightly shimmery nude color). This time I had gotten enough practice to really make my coats thin and it worked out fabulous. I'm trying to send all my friends the Ulta 20% coupon (5/26 is the last day) so they can get a kit for about $64. :) Now I hope to get a little creative with color combos and nail design. Thanks for the review.
